One of Davy Fitzgerald’s closest coaching allies says the Clare man will be going all out to beat his native county with Wexford in this weekend’s All Ireland Senior Hurling qualifier.

A place in this year’s quarter finals awaits the winner of the game, with a contest against either the Munster or Leinster losing finalists the prize on offer.

Both sides come into the game with a point to prove, with Clare having narrowly got past Laois and Wexford suffering defat to Galway last time out.
