Davy Fitzgerald urges hurlers to up game ahead of final

Clare will have to wait until next week to see who their opponents in the division 1B league final will be after their 3-16 to 0-18 point win sealed their place in next month’s decider.

Clare overcame the Leinster side’s challenge thanks to first half goals from John Conlon and Sean Collins and a second half strike from Conor
McGrath.

The win maintained Clare’s 100% record but Davy Fitzgerald wasn’t totally satisfied with the performance.

In Division 1A of the hurling, at Pairc Ui Chaoimh, hosts Cork defeated Kilkenny 1-17 to 1-15 while over in Salthill Waterford beat Galway 1-14 to 15 points.

In football and Clare  are joint top of the division four league table heading into the final two weekend’s of games.

They defeated London by 17 points to 12 to record their fourth successive win in the league this season.
