Clare’s Davy Fitzgerald will take the reins of the Antrim Senior Hurlers for the upcoming season.
The Sixmilebridge man was ratified for a two-year term at a meeting of Antrim County Board last night and will have the option of a third year at the helm.

It will be the fourth county overseen by Fitzgerald so far in his managerial career which has seen Waterford claim provincial success in 2010, Clare winning a fourth All-Ireland title in 2013 and Wexford claiming the Leinster crown in 2019.
Fitzgerald left his second stint at Waterford in July and will now succeed former Tipperary Goalkeeper Darren Gleeson as the man in charge of the Saffrons.
