A new date for Ireland’s clash with France in Paris is expected today following the postponement of Saturdays match between the two.
The Six Nations committee released a statement late last evening clarifying that it’s up to the host union to decide whether or not a match is postponed due to health and safety reasons, while the referee makes the decision due to the condition of the pitch.
The Six nations have backed Dave Pearsons decision to call off the game just minutes before kick off.
