The west Clare men beat Waterford champions Modeligo by 0-8 to 1-3 in the last four, to become just the third side ever from Clare to reach the decider.

The Clare champions led 0-6 to 0-1 at the break, but their opponents struck for a goal midway through the second half to ensure a nervy finish.

Daly says his side's response to that was a crucial factor in the win

Coolmeen now take on Templenoe of Kerry in the final in Mallow on Sunday December 6th.

It's expected that Stephen Rochford will be confirmed as the new Mayo football manager this week.

The Crossmolina man saw his Corofin side lose surrender their All Ireland title yesterday, with defeat to Castlebar Mitchels in the Connacht club football final.

Rochford's name is the only one in the running to succeed the team of Pat Holmes and Noel Connelly.
