Cyclists gear up for Ras Clar

In cycling news and hundreds of riders are getting ready for Sunday’s Ras Clar in Barefield.

The event is in its second year having being re-incarnated last year by Dolmen cycling club  and there is set to be over 2000 euro of prize money on offer for those taking part on Sunday.

The event will see four different categories of race with the top riders involved in the 110k event with the riders completing a 55k loop twice

Action gets underway at Barefield School on Sunday at 1pm and race director John colleran  is recommending that interested spectators head to one of the race’s steep climbs to enjoy the event
