Cusack Park to host Hurling Quarter Finals

 

The race for the County Senior Hurling Championship reaches the Quarter Final stage this weekend as Cusack park gets set to host all four games.

The Intermediate Championship is also set to reach its penultimate stage with Shannon hosting both semi finals.

Saturday and Sunday see double headers both at Clare’s County Grounds as the 8 sides battle to reach the October 23rd decider.

Championship favourites Sixmilebridge take on Inagh Kilnamona with County Intermediate Captain Tony Carmody set to face his old club after his transfer.

The other Saturday Quarter Final sees a meeting of recent champions as the 2007 holders Tulla meet the 2009 version- Cratloe- with the winners of Saturday’s matches meeting in the last four.

Sunday sees the holders Crusheen in action as they meet Broadford who finished as runners up in Group One, while one of the highlights of the weekend will see Kilmaley take on the 2008 champions Clonlara.

Meanwhile in the Intermediate Championship last four stage, Corofin and Ruan meet in a North Clare Darby and Eire Og take on Parteen with both of those games scheduled for Shannon.
