Cusack Park To Host SHC Quarter Finals In Weekend Feast Of Hurling

Cusack Park has been announced as the venue for all four Clare Senior Hurling Championship fixtures down for decision this weekend.

Three quarter finals will be played in Ennis, along with Cratloe’s delayed Round 2 game with Eire Og.

Last year’s champions Sixmilebridge put their crown on the line against 2019 Intermediate champions Broadford to kick off the weekend – that one gets underway at 4.45.

Ballyea and Kilmaley will continue the action with throw in at 6.30.

Both games will be broadcast live and in full hereon Clare FM.

Also on Saturday, at Senior B level, last year’s winners at this grade, Clooney-Quin, take on Crusheen in Newmarket at 6. Before that, Clarecastle take on Whitegate in Tulla with a 2pm throw in.

Sunday then sees all eyes return to Cusack Park, with Cratloe’s round 2 with Eire Og Ennis – which had previously been postponed after a number of COVID-19 cases were confirmed at the club – throwing in at 12 noon. The winners will meet Feakle in the quarter final stages.

After that, at 3pm, Inagh-Kilnamona take on O Callaghans Mills to round off the weekend. Both senior games on Sunday can also be heard live and in full here on Clare FM.

Newmarket On Fergus and Wolfe Tones also meet in Sixmilebridge on Sunday in their Senior B quarter final, with three quarter finals and a round 2 game down for decision at intermediate level as well.
