Clubs in Clare have received an additional allocation of tickets for next Sundays Munster hurling championship opener against Limerick.

It comes as an independent inspection of Cusack Park led to an increase of 1,300 in the capacity limit for the game, jumping from 18,800 to 20,100.

Clubs have been contacted in relation to their extra tickets, with demand for them still far outweighing supply.

The decision to increase the capacity came after recent works were carried out around the grounds ahead of the much anticipated tie.
