Cunningham faces long sideline spell through injury

Clare forward Aaron Cunningham is set for a prolonged period on the sidelines after a serious shoulder injury during Sunday’s league loss to Waterford.

The Wolfe tones teenager dislocated his shoulder during the clash in Ennis just minutes after coming on as a second half substitute.

The forward is now set to miss the remaining games in this year’s league campaign  as he begins his recovery.

Meanwhile Waterford manager Michael Ryan is predicting another tight encounter between Clare and his side when the teams clash in the Munster championship in June.

The two counties clash in a Munster quarter final on the opening weekend in June and Ryan feels that will be another tightly fought battle :
