The manager of the Crusheen side who are preparing for Sunday’s TUS Clare senior hurling final is praising the efforts of his players in getting back to the big day.

A first showpiece event since 2014 awaits Michael Browne’s side in Cusack Park, with Clonlara providing the opposition.

It will be a second meeting between the sides this year with Clonlara recording a comfortable victory when they clashed in the final group game.

Browne says the hurt of that loss is something they harnessed to get their season back on track.

Meanwhile Clonlara stalwart John Conlon feels both sides have made huge strides in 2023.

The south-east Clare men are hoping to capture their second ever title, with the maiden crown coming in 2008.

Conlon feels both teams will want to cap off a positive campaign in the best way possible.

Throw in on Sunday in Cusack Park is at 2pm with commentary on Clare FM with Clarkes Daybreak Foodstore, Off Licence, and Inver 24 hour Service Station, Crusheen.
