NUI Galway face a crunch clash in the Fitzgibbon Cup this afternoon – the holders play The Dublin Institute of Technology knowing that a defeat will end their hopes of lifting the premier trophy in colleges hurling.

The Galway team, which includes 8 Clare players in it’s starting 15 for today’s game, were beaten by a single point at home to Cork IT last week – defeat today means they will have no chance of progressing to the competition’s knock-out stage.
