Clare will have another Olympian competing at this summers games in Tokyo.
It’s been confirmed that Cratloe’s Naomi Carroll is part of of the Irish Hockey team who will take part in next month’s event.
The team qualified for the games in November 2019, marking the first time an Irish women’s hockey side had qualified for the Olympics.
Carroll is part of the 16 strong Irish squad who will be making the trip to Japan, while Ballina’s Finn McGeever will also be on the plane as part of the Irish swimming team.
