Cratloe see off Liscannor Challenge

Cratloe are through to the Quarter Finals of the Clare Senior Football Championship after overcoming Liscannor  by two points in Round 3 last night.

The match at Cooraclare had to go to extra time after it ended 10 points a piece at the end of normal play- however Cratloe got the upper hand at the final whistle and it ended 14 points to 12

Cratloe now going on to face Kilmurray Ibrickane in the quarter finals this weekend and Liscannor now face Shannon Gaels in the Senior B Championship Semi-Finals.

Doonbeg play Eire Og, Cooraclare take on St. Joseph’s Doora/Barefield and Kilrush Shamrocks go up against Ennistymon in the first of the games this Saturday afternoon.

The North Clare outfit are arguably the most impressive team in this year’s championship thus far, having recorded ten- and nine-point wins over St. Joseph’s Miltown and Liscannor to reach this stage and Kilrush boss Aidan Moloney admits his team are facing into a tough challenge.
