Cratloe Reach County Football Final

Cratloe will face Kilmurry Ibrickane in the Final of the Clare Senior Football Championship, after edging past St. Breckan’s in their semi-final.

The South-East Claremen trailed for much of the game, as the North Clare outfit led 1-08 tp 0-08 at half-time thanks in part to a Joe McGann goal.

A Cathal McInerney penalty early on in the second half brought matters level, before Breckans pushed on, only to be pegged back by a second Cratloe goal courtesy of Podge Collins.

Breckan’s Jack Sheedy was sent off for a second yellow card, and they were unable to claw their way back into the tie, with Cratloe winning 2-16 to 1-15.

It means this year’s final pairing is a repeat of 2016.
