The South-East Clare outfit were unwilling to go ahead with Saturday’s game as nine of their players were involved in the hurling games between Clare and Cork on Sunday.
If Kilrush were awarded the win as a result, then they would win through to the competition’s knock-out stages, while Cratloe would be relegated to Division 3.
Their case was laid before the County Hearings Committee last evening, and a club spokesman has told Clare FM that they are awaiting a decision on the matter.
