county Board to decide on County Final deferral

Starting with gaa news and the clare county board are expected to meet next week to decide on whether to push back the county football final one week from its current date of october 3rd..

Doonbeg are due to play either Cooarclare or Liscannor in the County final but it is understood a proposal has been received at board level to defer the match for a week.

Speaking to Clare fm Doonbeg Selector Pat Blake says he underatnds  why either side would be seeking a deferral:

Cooraclare and Liscanoor meet this Sunday in Miltown with both sides missing key players in the form of Cathal Lillis for the Sky blues while Alan Flaherty will miss out for the 2008 finlaits.
