County Board Looking For Amicable SFC Solution

Another meeting is being held today to find a solution to the progression of the Senior Football Championship.

No decision has been made on the rescheduling of Monday’s postponed Quarter-Final between Cooraclare and Doonbeg, or its knock-on effect for the remainder of the Championship.

The Clare Competitions Control Committee are reconvening around now, with a county board official telling us they are still awaiting "clarification from clubs about the matter."

The Co. Board spokesperson has added that they are “making every effort possible to find an amicable solution, a solution that would be in the best interest of everybody concerned with Football and GAA in Clare, and will have to make a decision shortly".
