The search for the next county senior hurling manager will not begin until the end of this month.
The Clare county board has agreed that any interested person should write to the chairman of the board by the 23rd of this month after which a select 5 man committee will then decide on the most suitable person.
Davy Fitzgerald was proposed by a club delegate at last nights meeting to become the next manager but this suggestion was rejected by the executive on the basis that clubs were not mandated to vote on the issue.
The meeting in Ennis also heard that current football boss Micheál
McDermott has yet to decide on whether he wants another year at the helm.
