Cork boss Conor Counihan says he feels Clare deserve credit for their performance against his side in yesterday’s Munster semi-final.

While the Rebels were nine point winners, on a scoreline of 1-20 to 1-11, Micko’s men have been credited for their battling performance which saw some flashes of good play, including a first half spell in which they registered five unanswered scores against the 2010 All Ireland Champions.
However, a fast start for Cork – who led by seven points to no score midway through the first half – meant they were always in control and speaking after the game, Conor Counihan admitted that was key for his men.
