Clare minor football manager Dermot Coughlan feels his sides willingness to work hard was a key factor as they got their season off to a winning start.
The young Banner men powered past Waterford, with Conor Fennell netting a hat-trick in a 4-18 to 0-4 victory.
It leaves Clare in a strong position to reach the Phase One decider, with their next outing being a trip to Rathkeale to face Limerick next week.
