The Bishopstown man was substituted at half-time during a club championship clash on Sunday, and subsequently spent a night in hospital having been diagnosed with pneumonia.

Despite this, Cork management are hopeful Cronin will be fit to take to the field against Clare on June 23rd.

The Revels continued their preparations for that game with a 3-15 to 0-22 loss to Galway last night.
