The Kingdom were awarded a contentious second half penalty which James O'Donoghue duly dispatched.
The incident was key in helping Kerry secure a draw as the game finished 2-15 to 3-12.
The replay will be held on Saturday, July 18th.
Meanwhile, Kilkenny beat Galway 1-25 to 2-15 to claim a 70th Leinster Hurling Title.
