Cooraclare’s Ladies Football goalkeeper says their work rate got them over the line in last night’s victory against reigning county champions Kilmihil.

The West Clare side ran out 2-6 to 1-4 winners in difficult conditions.

It means the Sky Blues can top their group should they beat St Joseph’s Doora Barefield in the final round next week.

Elsewhere at Senior level, West Clare Gaels and Banner Ladies’ game was called off as a mark of respect to O Curry’s GAA stalwart Michael Troy.

At intermediate grade, Milltown Malbay and Liscannor played out an exciting 2-13 to 3-10 draw, with Fergus Rovers brushing aside Doonbeg 2-14 to 0-4 in the same group.

In Group B, Burren Gaels and Eire Og’s game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
