Cooraclare And Lissycasey Into Clare SFC Quarter Finals

Cooraclare have booked their spot in the last eight of the 2016 Clare Senior Football Championship.

Last years beaten finalists got the better of Wolfe Tones by 3-10 to 3-7, with goals coming from Rory and Hugh Donnelly with Cathal Lillis adding the third.

Lissycasey are also into the the quarter finals after they beat O'Currys 1-14 to 0-5 with Cathal Doohan finding the net in the opening half.

Meanwhile in the battle for survival in the top tier, Eire Óg secured their senior status after an extra time win over Doora Barefield.

The Townies came out on top by the minimum, winning by 1-13 to 1-12 with Danny Russell netting the all important goal.

Kilfenora and Kildysart have both sealed their places in the last four of the Clare Intermediate Football Championship.

Kilfenora edged a tight battle with Coolmeen to win by 2-10 to 2-8, while goals proved crucial for Kildysart who beat Liscannor 2-12 to 0-12.

Doonbeg are into the Cusack Cup semi final after they beat Cratloe by 0-10 to 0-7.

They'll play either Kilmurry Ibrickane or Clondegad who meet in the final round.
