The Clare champions were beaten by Templenoe of Kerry in the Munster Junior Final on a 2-17 to 0-3 scoreline.
Captain Cathal O'Connor was the only scorer for the west Clare side, while all the winners scores came from play.
Coolmeen manager Martin Daly says its a disappointing loss.
