Clare senior hurler John Conlon admits despite winning a National hurling league title and claiming a first championship win in four years 2012 was a year of disappointment for the county side.

The Clonlara man along with Brendan Bugler were today nominated for a GAA GPA All-Star Hurling Award for their performances in Clare’s season which saw them defeat Limerick twice in the league and overcome Dublin in Cusack park before losing to John allen’s side in the qualifers.
The former U21 All Ireland winner feels that ultimately Clare didn’t achieve their potential due to errors in big games
