After five years of an open draw, next year the two counties will be placed straight into the semi-finals, with the rest battling it out in quarter finals.

Players from those sides are reportedly set to meet in Tipperary tonight to discuss their concerns.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Munster Council he feels the decision to re-introduce seeding for next year’s provincial championship is ‘final’.

Robert Frost of O’Callaghan’s Mills was one of those who supported the controversial change at last week’s meeting, and feels it should act as an incentive for the smaller counties to prove their doubters wrong.
