Liverpool manager Kenny Daglish says he had a good working relationship with former Director of football Damien Comolli who left the club by mutual consent today.
Comolli joined as the Director of Football Strategy at Anfield in November 2010 and became Director of football in March 2011.
The former Spurs and Arsenal scout in consultation with Kenny Daglish oversaw the acquisitions of Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing, Jose Enrique, Sebastian Coates and Craig Bellamy , it’s believed the failure of Carroll and Downing has cost him his position just 2 days before the FA Cup semi final.
