The Clare Champion reports that Collins has been handed a 12-week ban by the Competition Control Committee, arising out of an incident during Clare's National League clash against Fermanagh.

The paper says this has been accepted by management, and that Collins will now likely be in the stands at Cusack Park when Limerick come to Ennis in nine days’ time.

Meanwhile, Clare's senior footballers take on Dublin this evening in an eagerly anticipated challenge game.

The reigning Allianz League champions expected to bring a full strength squad for the game which forms part of both teams’ Championship preparations.

It's to mark the official unveiling of the new floodlights at Hennessey Park in Miltown Malbay and throws in tonight at 7.30pm
