Collins pleased with victory over Limerick in National Football League

Clare have got back to winning ways in Division Three of the National Football League.

A late goal from captain Gary Brennan sealed a 1-14 to 0-11 win over Limerick in Newcastlewest.

David Tubridy was Clare's top scorer with 0-6, while Shane McGrath and Eoin Cleary got 0-3 each and Sean Collins chipped in with 0-2.

Elsewhere in Division Three, Kildare beat Longford, Offaly edged out Sligo while Tipperary and Westmeath shared the spoils.

It was a good weekend all round for Clare teams, with wins for both the Ladies Football and Camogie sides.

The Footballers had a convincing 3-6 to 0-9 win over Cavan, leaving them joint top of the Division Two table.

Meanwhile the Camogie side got off the mark at the first attempt with an 0-18 to 1-8 win over Offaly, thanks in the main to top scorer Chloe Morey who contributed 0-11.
