A 0-12 to 0-9 win over Kerry in Killarney yesterday sees Clare into the McGrath Cup final for the first time since 2011.

It's also Clare's first competitive win at senior level over Kerry since 1997.

Collins says another game means they will get to assess more players ahead of the league opener at the end of the month.

The final will be played on Friday January 22nd, with a venue and opponent still to be decided.

Meanwhile the treasurer of Clare GAA is urging clubs to support the boards fundraising efforts, with a meeting being held tonight to discuss the County Fundraising Draw.

A drop of over €30,000 in sales of tickets has been recorded in the last 12 months, and Bernard Keane says clubs need to take more responsibility.

The meeting gets underway tonight in Clareabbey from 8pm.
