Cratloe Manager Colm Collins has described their Munster Final defeat to Dr. Crokes as devastating.
A Johnny Buckley injury time point captured the win for the Kerry Champions, after Cratloe had come back from a 7 point deficit.
Crokes led 0-10 to 0-03 at the break, but Collins side dominated the second half, drawing level in the 51st minute through Sean Collins and then pulling ahead thanks to Cathal McInerney.
Late scores from Daithi Casey and Buckley saw the decider end in a 0-13 to 0-12 win for the now three-in-a-row champions Dr. Crokes.
Afterwards, Collins admitted that he thought his men were going to complete a remarkable comeback.
Elsewhere, Mount Leinster Rangers are celebrating their first ever Leinster Senior Club Hurling title following yesterday’s 0-11 to 0-08 win over Oulart the Ballagh at Nowlan Park.
That’s Oulart’s fourth final defeat in a row. In Ulster Derry’s Ballinderry overcame Glenswilly 1-13 to 2-6 while Mayo side Carnacon and star forward Cora Staunton are All Ireland Ladies Football Champions, following a 1-6 to 8 points win over Donaghmoyne of Monaghan.
