Clare football boss Colm Collins says their sole focus this weekend will be on producing an improved performance to close out their National league campaign.
The Banner make the trip to Pairc Esler in Newry to face a Down side who are already relegated to Division Three, with their thoughts turning to an Ulster quarter final against Monaghan at the end of next month.
Clare have suffered defeat in their last three outings, including when conceding a point deep in injury time against Meath last weekend which saw the Royals leave Ennis with the win.
Collins says while the game is effectively a dead rubber, that won’t be something they will allow themselves to think about.
