The manager of the 2023 TUS Clare senior football champions feels their third title is their sweetest to date.

Cratloe collected Jack Daly in Cusack Park for the first time since 2014 with a 1-10 to 1-8 win over St Breckans.

Following their second round loss to Kildysart, the south-east Clare men beat Ennistymon, Kilmurry Ibrickane and Eire Óg en route to the decider, with 1-5 from man of the match Cathal McInerney central to the win.

Meanwhile one of Cratloe’s key men felt it was important for the group to get over the line in a final.

Since their 2014 double victory, Cratloe had suffered final defeats in both codes against Ballyea, Sixmilebridge and Kilmurry Ibrickane.

Podge Collins says it was pleasing to come out on the right side of the result.
