Failure to score during the final 27 minutes saw Collins side beaten 1-16 to 0-13 in Drogheda yesterday in the Allianz National Football League Division Three.
The Banner had led by 0-9 to 1-5 at the break, but the men from the Wee County hit the last nine points of the game unanswered to take the win.
Collins says the best team won on the day.
Elsewhere in Division Three, Tipperary were comprehensive 1-14 to 1-2 winners against Limerick, Armagh overcame Wexford by 2-13 to 1-8, and Fermanagh got the better of Sligo, 0-14 to 0-12
