The meeting is expected to see a three way contest for the chairman role while a possible increase in player registration fees is also set to be debated,less than 12 months after the fee was reduced at last year’s AGM.
Current chairman Donie Garrihy is set to face at least two challengers to his poition at tonight CDSL Agm in Ennis with Mickey Guilfoyle and Padriag Mc Cullogh looking for the top job in Clare junior soccer.
Garrihy only took up the reigns last year is currenlty the favourite to retain his position while ex chair Paul Tuohy is also set to face a vote to hang onto the vice chairman role with Mc Cullogh also seeking that position.
There are 12 motions on tonight’s agenda with the executive themselves proposing an increase of 10 euro in the registration.
An increase would repeal the 10 euro reduction to 30 euro agreed at last year’s Agm.
Other motions include a proposal to begin the season earlier and that all yellow cards be published on the CDSL website.
Proceedings get underway at 8-30 in the west county hotel.
