A radical reduction in the number of clubs competing in the senior hurling championship in Clare could be on the cards ahead of a crucial structures meeting later this month.
Its understood that a reduction in the numbers at senior hurling level will be proposed by the structures review committee who will inform clubs of their finding following regional meetings held last month.

The meeting,to be held on January 21st at 5pm in Ennis, is also to hear of potential changes to the senior football championships with a reduction or abolition of the almost annual 10 week break between round one and two also set to be discussed
