Clooney-Quin have made history by capturing a first ever Under-21 title, lifting the B Championship trophy at Cusack Park last night after a dramatic game against St. Joseph’s Doora-Barefield.
The final score was 2-12 to 1-14 in Clooney-Quin’s favour, but the one point victory was only sealed in the dying moments when Joe CLune netted for the champions.
Peter Duggan top scored for the winners with 1-9, while for St. Joseph’s Shane O’Connor top-scored with six points, and goalkeeper Mickey Rosengrave scored the crucial goal.
