Clonlara’s Marcus Horan says it would be a ‘great achievement’ if he was to be selected for the Ireland squad for the World Cup later this year.
However, the prop forward says he is ‘focussed on’ securing a spot in Declan Kidney’s travelling party.
Horan was last part of the Ireland set-up during last summer’s tour of New Zealand and Australia, before injury held him back for much of this season.
However, after playing a pivotal role in Munster’s Magners League Grand Final win over Leinster this past Saturday, Horan has told Clare FM he now wants to book a spot on the plane for the World Cup later this year
