Donal Madden’s side led 0-12 to 0-8 at the half time whistle, with Aidan Moriarty, Colm Galvin, Colm O’Meara and Michael O’Loughlin carrying much of the scoring burden.

That lead increased to six by the turn of the final quarter as Clonlara stretched 0-16 to 0-10 clear as Moriarty led the charge from midfield, finishing with a personal tally of 0-5 from play in a man of the match showing.

Both sides had goal chances in the closing stages, but it was Feakle who were more in need of the green flag as Clonlara responded to each white one conceded by notching one of their own.

It sets up a repeat fixture with Clonlara and Crusheen from their final round group game which was won by Clonlara.
