Clondegad win u21 football title with one point win over Ennistymon

Clondegad are County u21 A football champions for the very first time after a 1-11 to 2-7 win over Ennistymon today in Corofin.

The sides were level at half time-Ennitsymon 1-2 to Clondegad’s 0-05-Ciaran Monaghan with the goal.

In thrilling second half the sides matched each other score for score and Barry Keating goaled for Ennistymon to give them a two point lead before Gearoid  O Connell’s last gasp goal gave Clondegad and 7 of their players a chance to celebrate u21 hurling and football championship glory.

In the Munster junior club football semi final Clarecastle lost to Cappmore of Limerick by 1-6 to 0-04.
