Clondegad Reach Clare SFC Finals After Victory Over Miltown

Clondegad are into the final two of the Clare Senior Football Championship after victory over Miltown this afternoon.

St Joseph’s opened the scoring and scored an early goal to give them a slight lead, but Clondegad netted at the end of the first half to go into the break a point ahead.

They raised the green flag a second time in the second half to cement their lead over Miltown. A third attempt was initially signaled as a goal, but upon review was found to have been blocked by the keeper.

Clondegad scored the last four points of the game to secure their place in the final, with the final score in Cooraclare: Clondegad 2-12 to Miltown’s 1-9.

They’ll face Kilmurry who edged a massive battle with Cratloe in their last four tie, with the holders coming out on top by 2-10 to 2-9 after extra time.
