Clondegad boss hoping u21 win will boost senior fortunes

Clondegad manager Martin Brennan is hopeful his side’s U21 championship victory on Saturday can provide a spring board for success in the future.

 
The club claimed their first ever u21 A football title with a one point win over Ennistymon in Corofin by 1-11 to 2-7-Gearoid O Connell the hero with  a last minute goal

Elsewhere and Clondegad and footballer and Ballyea hurler Tony Kelly is set to be honoured at the Munster Gaa awards this coming weekend for his performances during Clare’s Munster and All Ireland success this autumn.

The 19 year old has been named the U21 hurler of the year for his performances as Clare claimed just their second ever provincial and All Ireand titles

Clare FM udnerstands that joint mangers Donal Maloney and Gerry O Connor will also be in the running to receive the overall managers award.
