Clondegad have won the last of this weekend’s Clare Senior Football Championship encounters, with a one point win over St. Breckan’s in Corofin this afternoon.
Cloneegad led by two at the break – 1-05 to 1-03. Sean Cormican had scored Breckan’s goal after 2 minutes, while the key score for Clondegad came from a Brian Carrig penalty.
Clondegad remained on top for most of the second half, and a late Dinny O’Driscoll goal led to a strong finish, but Breckan’s couldn’t pull level.
They lost on a final scoreline of 1-11 to 2-07.
