A Clare woman is in the running for the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division Player of the Year.
Ennis native Laurie Ryan is one of three players shortlisted from league champions Athlone Town.

Ryan captained Athlone to the title having also led them to consecutive FAI Women’s Cup finals, winning last years.
Six players in total are in the running for the award.
