Clare’s pairing with Laois in the first round of the All-Ireland Senior hurling qualifier’s is being described as the ‘ideal draw’ for Brian Lohan’s men.

Cork take on Dublin in the other opening round tie, with All Ireland champions Tipperary and Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford receiving byes into the second round.
