Clare’s Ladies footballers lost out to Laois in the first of three games in the Division 2A series.
Evan Taltys side were leading 2-2 to 0-0 after ten minutes with Fidelma Marrinan scoring both of those goals.

Laois made a comeback to lead 1-7 to 2-3 at half time.
The home-side went on to secure a final score of 2-12 to 2-7 with Fidelma Marrinan scoring all but one point for the Banner.
Doonbeg will be the venue for next Saturdays clash against Kerry.
