A Clare man is among an eight strong Irish team who will compete at next month’s World U20 Athletics championships.
Ennis Track clubman Dean Casey will be part of the contingent making the trip to Cali, Columbia, where he will line up for the 5000m event.
Casey, who is coached by Pat Hogan, set a new Irish U20 10,000m record in May, the first time the previous record had been surpassed for 52 years.

He was also part of the Ennis Track team who won the European Club Cross Country Championships title earlier this year.
