A Clare golfer has captured a prestigious national title.
Ennis native Aideen Walsh is the 2025 Bridgestone Women’s Order of Merit winner, after producing brilliant performances in the five championship events.

The Lahinch clubwoman recorded top 10 finishes at the Woodbrook Scratch Cup and Ulster Open, along with a sixth placed finish at the Irish Amateur Open.
Her total was boosted by a third place finish at the Dun Laoghaire Scratch Cup while her run to the last 16 of the Amateur Close Championship sealed her top spot.
Walsh had been the runner up in the Order of Merit for the last two years.
